I started 2 years ago after suffering a night of serious suicidal thoughts caused by depression due to my appearance. I overcame and said I was going to change that.
I started slow, first I cut out fast foods, any soda and sugar. Started eating high amounts of protein with a caloric intake of 2,000 max a day.
After a month of just dieting I lost 10lbs and got insanely motivated so I started going to the gym.
Combined with the gym I started dieting heavier, I went on a Keto heavy diet. Cutting out my carbs, had a goal of 12g carbs a week, I also cut out all alcohol intake.
My workout consisted of only cardio, never lifted weights because I was afraid of becoming bulky and I was obsessed with just being super skinny (I know stupid.)
My Keto diet was pretty basic but it worked , I especially knew when the comments started pouring in about 10 months later when I had lost almost 60 lbs.
Now 2 years later I’m at 140lbs with 15% body fat when I started at 290lbs.
I’ve stopped working out recently and I’ve just kind of been cruising; making sure I’m not overeating.
My state of mind has changed, I’m no longer an asthmatic, my symptoms of the beginnings of Diabetes have disappeared. My knee pains are gone, my sleep is better and I am no longer diagnosed with tachycardia since my resting heart rate was always 97+
I really have no desire to become a fitness freak, but I just kinda wanted to post this to say it’s possible if you really want to make a change for the better.
